KONY 2012: Progress Report

The world is changing before our eyes.
The last eleven weeks have been the most intense period of global engagement in the history of the LRA conflict. By FAR. And it's because you've been asking your political leaders to step up and support international efforts to end LRA violence. The May 12th capture of LRA commander Caesar Achellam drastically weakens the LRA's capacity to commit violence against innocent people. For more than 25 years Achellam was fighting in the bush, abducting children, and committing the most horrific atrocities; but this week he isn't. Let that sink in.
Play your part in the year of justice.
The months ahead are crucial to the success of the goals of KONY 2012. One of the best things you can do to stay connected with the movement is request a screening. Invisible Children is premiering a brand new film this fall, and our Roadies would love to come to your community to show it. After showing the film, a Ugandan speaker will talk about what it was like to live in fear of the LRA, as so many people in DR Congo, Central African Republic, and South Sudan still do today. Best part? We'll come to you for free. This is your chance to dig deeper, ask us anything, and play an even bigger role in KONY 2012. Watch this five-minute video highlighting the steps that the international community has already taken since March 5th to stop LRA violence.
